Andra delen i Libba Brays serie The Diviners har titeln Lair of dreams. Den ges ut 25/8 och jag hoppas att den håller samma höga klass som första boken. Fast det var mer än ett år sedan jag läste den så minns jag den väldigt tydligt och tänker på den ibland.

”After a supernatural showdown with a serial killer, Evie O’Neill has outed herself as a Diviner. Now that the world knows of her ability to ”read” objects, and therefore, read the past, she has become a media darling, earning the title, ”America’s Sweetheart Seer.” But not everyone is so accepting of the Diviners’ abilities…
Meanwhile, mysterious deaths have been turning up in the city, victims of an unknown sleeping sickness. Can the Diviners descend into the dreamworld and catch a killer?”

Omslag för Kanada, UK och USA.

Den 20/8 släpps sista delen i Kelley Armstrongs Cainesville-trilogi (mina recensioner av Omens och Visions finns här). I Deceptions hoppas jag att man får svar på alla mysterier.

”Olivia’s life has exploded. She’s discovered she’s not only adopted, but her real parents are convicted serial killers. Fleeing the media frenzy, she took refuge in the oddly secluded town of Cainsville. She has since solved the town’s mysteries and finds herself not only the target of its secretive elders, but also her stalker ex-fiancé.
Visions continue to haunt her: particularly a little blond girl in a green sundress who insists she has an important message for Olivia, one that may help her balance the light and darkness within herself. Death stalks Olivia and the two men most important to her, as she desperately searches to understand whether ancient scripts are dictating their triangle. Will darkness prevail or does Olivia have the power to prevent a tragic fate?”

LouisePennyDen sista boken var en riktigt glad överraskning nämligen att Louise Penny ger ut en ny Inspektör Gamache-deckare. Den kommer den 25/8 och har den spännande titeln The nature of the beast.

”Hardly a day goes by when nine year old Laurent Lepage doesn’t cry wolf. From alien invasions, to walking trees, to winged beasts in the woods, to dinosaurs spotted in the village of Three Pines, his tales are so extraordinary no one can possibly believe him. Including Armand and Reine-Marie Gamache, who now live in the little Quebec village.
But when the boy disappears the villagers are faced with the possibility that one of his tall tales might have been true.
And so begins a frantic search for the boy and the truth. What they uncover deep in the forest sets off a sequence of events that leads to murder, leads to an old crime, leads to an old betrayal. Leads right to the door of an old poet.
And now it is now, writes Ruth Zardo. And the dark thing is here.
A monster once visited Three Pines. And put down deep roots. And now, Ruth knows, it is back.
Armand Gamache, the former head of homicide for the Sûreté du Québec, must face the possibility that, in not believing the boy, he himself played a terrible part in what happens next.”
